Why should I choose NWC-immigration?

"The Canadian Society of Immigration Consultants (CSIC) is an independent, not-for-profit body operating at arms length from the federal government. Its membership consists of immigration consultants who provide immigration advice to clients for a fee. The Society’s mandate is to protect the consumers of immigration consulting services and ensure the competent and professional conduct of its members".

The Canadian Society of Immigration Consultants aims to provide stability and standards within the immigration consulting industry. Our firm is proud to be approved for membership under these new regulations. You may verify our status as a licensed immigration consultant by visiting the Society's website and clicking on the "Membership List" tab. Their website address is: http://www.csic-scci.ca/. We are registered under our consultant member, Ouhelli A. Please be advised that only those consultants registered with CSIC will be authorized to act on your behalf with the Department of Citizenship & Immigration Canada.

Do I need to hire someone to represent me ? 

It is not necessary to hire a consultant to assist you with your immigration application. However, should you wish to retain professional assistance, deciding which immigration attorney is an important decision. It is useful to hire an immigration attorney, for three reasons. First, immigration law is one of the most complicated areas of Canada law. Second, Canadian immigration law is changing all the time, and it is hard to keep up, even for many immigration lawyers. Third, immigration profesional representative can help make sure that your application goes through the immigration bureaucracy smoothly and quickly.

What is the difference between using a Canadian-based representative and a foreign-based representative?
A foreign-based representative(s) may be outside the reach of Canadian law. Consequently, there may be no protection or recourse available in Canada to you if you are dissatisfied with their services. Additionally, Citizenship and Immigration Canada will only provide information on your file to representatives who are either:
The Government of Canada is amending the Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations to require that paid consultant must be authorized in order to conduct business on behalf of clients when dealing with the Government of Canada in immigration and refugee matters.

Authorized, paid consultant may be only immigration consultants who are members in good standing of the Canadian Society of Immigration Consultants (CSIC).
